舞狮

Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture in which performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume to bring good luck and fortune. The lion dance is usually performed during the Chinese New Year and other Chinese traditional, cultural and religious festivals. It may also be performed at important occasions such as business opening events, special celebrations or wedding ceremonies, or may be used to honor special guests.

There are two main forms of the Chinese lion dance, the Northern Lion and the Southern Lion. Both forms are commonly found in China, but around the world especially in South East Asia. The Southern Lion consists of four styles, Hok San, Fut San, Fut Hok and Jow Ga.

舞狮是中华传统文化之一，具有数百年历史。传说舞狮表演能为人们带来财源广进，好运连连。一般在新春佳节、晚宴会庆、开幕典礼或迎接贵宾都会选择舞狮表演来助兴。

​醒狮有南狮及北狮之分，遍布世界各地。而在中国与东南亚地区以南狮较为普遍，当中有四大支流：鹤山、佛山、佛鹤及周家。

舞龙

Dragon dance is a form of traditional dance in the Chinese culture. Like the lion dance, it is most often seen in festive celebrations. The dance is performed by a team of dancers who manipulate a long flexible figure of a dragon.

The dragon dance is often performed during Chinese New Year as they are believed to bring good luck to people, therefore the longer the dragon in the dance, the more luck it will bring to the community. The dragons are believed to possess qualities that include great power, dignity, fertility, wisdom and auspiciousness. The appearance of a dragon is both fearsome and bold but it has a benevolent disposition, and it was an emblem to represent imperial authority.

舞龙是中华传统文化之一。集合7至9人之力，一同舞动祥龙，与醒狮有着异曲同工之妙。

​"龙"被世人视为吉祥之物，在节庆、贺喜、祝福、祭神、庙会等活动，都有舞龙的习俗。“龙”在人们的心目中有着权威的象征，豪迈气概，让人对之敬而且畏。

​

除此之外，舞龙表演也相信能带给世人风调雨顺，国泰明安。
